Mobile & Remote: Meeting You Where You Are in NH.

Somatic Bus, office on wheels is a comfort space for healing

Mission of the bus

Meeting where you are to provide community mind-body health support for well-being is essential.

After years of providing community medical services by meeting clients in their environment, we have discovered significant benefits to this approach. Clients tend to feel more at ease in their surroundings, value the freedom to select the meeting location, enjoy a heightened sense of autonomy, and are more inclined to seek support for their concerns.

A charmingly converted short school bus previously known as “Skoolie” is now called the “Somatic Bus” and is a dedicated office space. This allows us to meet you where you are and provide the support you deserve.

Safety and Comfort is Our Priority!

Mobile Services:

How It Works in New Hampshire

  • A team member and the client determine what locations are safe and accessible.

We have a list of public places in central and southern NH that we can suggest. If parking is available and legal, we will go to public parks, workplaces, schools/universities, or personal driveways.

See Bus Locations below for more information.

If you are outside the primary area, don't hesitate to contact us to discuss it. We will do our best to accommodate you.

  • There is no restroom available on the mobile unit.

We advise using public or private restrooms before and after your session.

  • We have installed a dual-functioning A/C solar-powered battery for cool and warm air. Additionally, we have a propane heater to generate warmth the way you like it, and dual alarm detectors have been installed to ensure safety.

  • We prioritize safety! To guarantee the safety of everyone involved during the session, we implemented a buddy system. This means you will meet your practitioner on the bus while a second person remains close outside to ensure our well-being. Additionally, entrances and exits are designed to be easily accessible.

  • Yes, we welcome support or service dogs. Please bring a blanket or bedding for them to rest during the session.

  • To ensure safety, passengers are not allowed on the bus while moving. The Somatic Bus is designed to stay parked during sessions. So, we won't be able to pick you up or transport you to your desired location.

  • You can experience an introductory session before committing to a package plan. We offer a 25% discount on a one-time Somatic Bus Tour Session.

  • Home visits are designated for individuals with physical disabilities who are unable to navigate the few stairs to board the bus or cannot utilize technology, such as a computer, for a virtual appointment.

  • We offer a range of services, including:

    • Somatic coaching & Therapy

    • Body awareness exercises

    • Stress management techniques

    • Trauma-informed care

Feel free to reach out if you have specific questions about the services available.

  • Click on any button that says book it. As a new client, you will be prompted to create a client portal on Zanda, our practice management software, and then you can schedule a Connection Call.

Alternatively, you can schedule a Connection Call with Jenn, our office director.

All appointments thereafter can be scheduled through Jenn. She is also available to answer any questions you may have.

Primary Bus Routes and Beyond

Primary bus routes include a 10-mile radius from Mast Road on the west side of Manchester, NH, which provides for Auburn, Bedford, Goffstown, Hooksett, Merrimack, and North Londonderry.

Beyond the primary routes comes with an added mileage cost.

What types of locations are suitable for mobile sessions?

Our mobile unit (somatic bus) can park and operate in a variety of locations, including:

  • Private driveways or parking spaces

  • Parks or other outdoor spaces (with appropriate permissions)

  • Designated public parking areas

For sessions in public locations, we consider factors such as weather conditions, local events, and safety. If inclement weather or an event interferes with your scheduled session, we will work with you to find an alternative location or reschedule for a more suitable time. Please ensure the selected location allows easy access and meets any necessary permissions or regulations.

The bus will be stationed on level ground, whether in public or private spaces that are flat (no inclines).

Jenn is prepared and available to provide a detailed list of specific locations upon request or to confirm sites to ensure safety and obtain the necessary parking permissions.
